What distinguishes ACTIPROS from other interventions?

There are many interventions to increase the physical activity of children and adolescents. What makes ACTIPROS so special, what distinguishes it from other interventions?

Options instead of a one-fits-all approach

Schools are free to choose from the ACTIPROS-toolbox. If an intervention fails it can be replaced immediately.

Evidence

All interventions included in the ACTIPROS-toolbox have been independently evaluated. The results of the evaluation are published and available to everyone. Only interventions that had a positive effect on the physical activity of the children were considered.

Transparency

We don't make ACTIPROS a secret but we make our procedure and our results available for free. Procedure and results are also published in specialist journals.

How did the development of the ACTIPROS-toolbox proceed?

Projektverlauf Übersicht

A steering group consisting of school management, teachers, sports club, the state sports federation, the state institute for school, pediatric and youth doctors as well as the education authority advised us throughout the project. We researched interventions from the years 2010-2020 that had the aim of positively influencing the physical activity of the children. Another overlap is that interventions do not necessarily have to be carried out in the school, but use the school to appeal to the children. In a DELPHI Survey we worked out criteria according to which our steering group and scientific expert interventions would select for the toolbox. We have combined both perspectives and then put together our toolbox.
